What a fun word to say – entrepreneur. People ask me all of the time what I do for a living and the easy answer is that I am a ‘serial’ entrepreneur. What is the difference between a regular entrepreneur and a serial entrepreneur and do any of these qualities apply to you? Let me provide some definitions and then see how relatable they are.
The Entrepreneur – is an individual who organizes and operates a business or businesses, taking on financial risk to do so. I think most of us can relate to the ‘risk’ part!
Entrepreneurs are seen as catalysts for economic change, and researchers argue that entrepreneurs are highly creative individuals with a tendency to imagine new solutions by finding opportunities for profit or reward. Highly creative? Sounds good to me, include that sentence in your business plan and funding pitch!
How about the serial entrepreneur? This is an entrepreneur who continuously comes up with new ideas and starts new businesses. Some of you may be waking up at 2am and have ideas for a new retail store or a better way to make a product or just have a uniquely incredible business idea. The ideas never stop flowing so embrace the visionary inside you and welcome to the club, you are not alone. Brazzlebox is bringing these people together in a way that is designed to assist you in reaching your goals.
Entrepreneurs are sometimes misunderstood… the whole risk-taking concept is hard for some people to grasp. Do not be surprised if your desire to own your own business is not celebrated by some. Here is a statement I get all of the time “I don’t know how you do it.” The funny part is, I don’t even think about it as being difficult or different. I see it as an opportunity to introduce a new idea or improve on an existing idea and hoping for a positive financial outcome.
You, the entrepreneur, are delivering new products, ideas and services to the world – it is an amazing gift. Myself and everyone at Brazzlebox look forward to some of your success stories.
Have a dynamic day!
